The Original Soundrack by Ricardo Seola

It's not every day we come across something whose concept and design knocks our socks off like The Original Soundtrack has. (The keyword, for now, is concept as this isn't in production.) Designer Ricardo Seola has combined two time-tested and simple toys: a train and wind-up music box to devise something completely original.

Seola is also a musician so perhaps, in his mind at least, this combination was obvious. One of the neatest features is that the tracks can be rearranged to form different musical combinations. We don't know if The Original Soundtrack will ever come to the marketplace, but we're certainly rooting for it.

See more photos at DesignBoom and send some love for this concept to Ricardo Seola at his site.

It is a good idea, so good that some toy company already made one like it. The toy has track notes and you arrange your own music and let the train ride over the tracks to play music.
