Ugly Dolls

Ugly is the new pretty. We can't believe that we haven't featured these yet on Apartment Therapy: the nursery, because Ugly Dolls are some of the most amusing stuffed animals we have ever seen.

2007.03.06.uglydolls2.jpg Each Ugly Doll has a backstory. Take Chuckanucka here - he worries about everything. He is a deep thinker, always wondering about what will happen if they stop making CD players, and whether or not he left the closet door open. Moxy is great at taking care of problems, and Icebat just thinks you are cool.

We love the modern colours used by designers David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim, and the clean lines and soft fabrics. Soft and easy to carry around, Ugly dolls are oddly charming, and only $20 each.

Love the ugly doll!
Inspired by the ugly I'm sure...these guys http://www.stupidcreatures.com/ make totally fantastic one of a kind creations that put the ugly in fugly. You send them socks and they send you back toy. Has anyone ever sent them socks? I always think I'm going to take my daughter's socks and make her a one of a kind ugly, but that's not happened yet! :)

I LOVE THE UGLY DOLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!my friend got me one for my birthday and now im like obsessed with them! i want them all!!! now i really wanna know how to make them...hehe!
