Wishing Toys by Friends With You

wishing_toys_top.jpgWhen we try to picture the inside of the Friends With You toy factory, we imagine that the walls are made of candy and the interoffice mail is delivered by unicorns. Where else could anything as adorable as these little wishing toys be made?

Each of these six 3" figures has a weighted bottom and built-in bell chime, making gentle music with each rocking movement. After you set your wishing toy in motion, close your eyes, hold your breath, and make a wish. (There's no word from the manufacturer as to whether or not telling anyone your wish will render it void.)

$7.50 each at Friends With You (Note that each toy is "blind boxed", which means you won't know which figure you got until you open the package.)

Ok. I am going to perform an experiment. I love them all but the pink-bottomed ring-stacker guy. So I am going to order one, if shipping and handling (blind boxing might be EXPENSIVE) isn't too crazy, and I predict that the odds are not a 1 in 6 chance that I will get that guy but rather it's a certainty. I'll keep you posted... edge of your seat, huh?

I think they're kinda creepy. Especially the striped peanut and Hammerhead. Like they're from some Stephen King story and at night they change and become e-ville!!!

I like 4 of them and don't care so much for the other 2, so I guess the odds are in my favor that I'd get one that I'm OK with. It does seem a little weird that they don't let you choose... I also like the ring-stacker guy best, but then the "hammerhead" guy comes in second for me. I think he's cute!

I hate to be "Debbie Downer" but aren't these made from vinyl which is a carcinogen and should not be given to kids let alone brought into your house to off-gas?

I have 8 of these "Friends" and not only do I find them cute, my 16mos son ADORES them. They are a perfect toy to pull out at a restaurant to occupy little hands.
