Bilingual Blocks

2007.05.08.nursery.bilangueblocks.jpgParlez-vous français? Or Hebrew, or Russian, or Greek, or Italian, or Spanish? Do you ever think about how your children are going to learn your language?

We have been thinking about this a lot, lately, so when we ran across these wooden alphabet blocks with foreign alphabets on them, we were thrilled.

How do you teach a small child what a cedilla is and how it changes the sound of the letter it marks if your kids don't grow up seeing it on their alphabet? Or the letters of a foreign alphabet? These are the things that keep us up at night.

Wooden language blocks are just $35 a set, and if you aren't multilingual, they also come in plain English.

We have the Hebrew version. I bought them 5 years ago for my son's first birthday because I thought they would be a nice, heirloom gift. They are very good quality, fun to play with, and look great in the nursery.

I have these blocks in English. I didn't even know they came in other languages! They are beautiful blocks, and my daughter loves them--the differnt animals printed on each block are our favorite part.
