IKEA Vippig Seesaw

2007-09-05-vippig

We missed this at our local IKEA weeks ago even though it was supposedly in stock. IKEA introduced the Vippig indoor seesaw this fall and we wanted to give it a try.

The design is kind of Sirch-esque and minimal - just what we like. But we want to know that it's safe and stable too.

The website description recommends use for children 3+ years. Available for $49.99 at IKEA (but not online).

Anyone seeen the Vippig in person?

yep, i've seen it... it's very nice. minimal. the bent plywood would look great in a modern space...

oh, as far as stability... it does sway at the slightest touch. it may be best for 3 for that reason... requires balance. i suppose having 2 kids would also be handy since there is no way for an adult to sit on this! :)

I bought it as soon as I saw it, and our kid isn't even born yet. Fun, stylish, made in Finland, and $50?
