Razor Jr. Scooter

2009-07-25-razor.jpg

The long summer days brings lots of older children to our neighborhood playgrounds, all of them pulling up on their scooters. Once their too big for strollers, the scooter might be their next set of wheels. Consider this Razor Jr. Scooter, no license required.

The Razor Jr. Scooter has three wheels to make it more stable for younger riders. We were most excited to hear that the scooter folds flat, essential for when your child is too "tired." This one is available for $40 here. Anyone else have a scooter they want to recommend?

This wasn't available when I was looking; I bought a micro mini kick from a local family-owned toyshop. It also has three wheels (two up front) and a cool lean-to-steer handlebar. We don't use the rear wheel brake much. Seriously, we're going about one mile an hour...

This one looks nice but the one I really like is the one from radio flyer. There are 2 wheels in the front and one in the back. It makes it much easier for them to kick and they don't have to kick sideways....and it's very stable. My son got it for christmas at 23 months and has loved it ever since (along with the helmet....please don't forget your helmet - nothing worse than a kid's head injurty....start a good habit early!)

Thanks for all the great recommendations! Love your site!

I second the Radio Flyer recommendation. The two front wheels make it more stable and the retro/modern styling is adorable. My 3 year old loved it for her birthday.
