She even includes both a sketch she drew on the way to Ikea (which, we're impressed to report, looks a heck of a lot like the final product!) as well as a more detailed blueprint once she knew what exactly she had to work with. Beth gives her husband credit for the building while she provided "emotional support and detailing" (i.e. the fun stuff!).

Of course the little details are always our favorite part, too. We can't help but love the kawaii-inspired fabric with smiling milk cartons, rolling pins, etc. (designed and sold by Booster Seat). The simple backsplash they added is almost unnoticeable yet adds a touch of realism to the overall picture. The sink is made from a dogbowl complimented by an inexpensive faucet from Lowe's. 50 cent cookie racks sub in for oven racks and convince us even more that we need to find our way to a suburban dollar store because our city one just isn't cutting it!
