All-in-one Car Seat Stroller

Travel season is coming up, and when we were at the airport last week, we spotted a couple pushing their baby in one of these. At first, we thought it was actually something provided by the airport, but then we realized it was way too nice.

Then, on our plane ride home, we spotted the stroller while flipping through the in-flight SkyMall Magazine. (Yes, we always flip through, and we've actually found a couple of really useful things in there!)

At $250, it's not cheap, but it can be used as a car seat, airplane seat, stroller, and even booster seat according to the product details. Anyone used this?

I don't fly enough to warrant the $250 price tag. Instead I bought the Gogo Kidz Travelmate. It just attaches to the regular car seat and you just wheel that around the airport. Super easy to install and it works great. It was a lifesaver when I flew by myself with 2 little ones. Plus, I found it on Craigslist for $50, so it's a much better deal than the one you are featuring.

We have this, and it's been great to use. Not as good as a stroller, not as good as a real carseat, but a good compromise.

To make up for the $250 price tag, we loan it out a lot to friends...

This is great for traveling! We LOVE ours. I would not recommend it for petite people. My son is about 28 pounds, which makes carrying him in it a bit of a workout. I have found it can't be rolled down most airplane aisles, so I just carry him in it to our seats (@14 months, he can walk but only in the opposite direction that I need to go). I would have bought the Gogo Kidz, but since we needed a second car seat for my husband's car we went with the sit-n-stroll.

Also be prepared for people to stop you in the airport and ask you about it!

It’s lasted me through heavy travel w/2 kids, so I’ve gotten my $250 worth.

Now we use it as as our primary carseat in our secondary car. It’s great if you don’t want to wake the baby up when you have to get out of he car (like when the baby FINALLY falls asleep just as you’re pulling in the driveway at home, up to a restaurant, at the supermarket, etc. and you don’t want to wake him up). You can just lower the “retractable landing gear” and push around your sleeping baby. All adults wish they had a lazboy on wheels like this.

Also, the seat is low enough to the ground so the kids can get in/out by themselves.

Shortcomings:
Not a very good stroller, but it gets the job done.
As a stroller, there’s no storage basket/net – only a tiny plastic tray under the seat
Our right handle broke off somewhere between SF and Narita, so now I have to steer from the middle.

Never tried this, but we also use the gogobabyz carseat dolly that turns the carseat into a stroller. It makes airport travel a little easier.

We were given this stroller as a gift and at first were pretty disdainful. But then we actually had to fly with our daughter and LOVED it. So amazing not to have to bring both a car seat and a stroller. We use it every time we fly. Highly recommend it!

I live in New York City and don't own a car so the only time I really need a car seat is when I am traveling so we bought this instead of a regular one. I agree that it is not a great stroller, however, as long as you are using it inside, on fairly even ground it works very well.
I have flown with my son many times with this contraption, and it makes the whole process so much easier, not just airport wise. On the other end I don't have to worry about figuring out a carseat from a rental car, or my parents, or friends.....I don't have to lug a seat around, etc, etc.
I could not ask for something any more useful to our lifestyle. I was worried about the high pricetag originally, but it was well worth it.

We're about to use ours for the first time with a direct flight to Hawaii with our 15 month old (yes, we're that crazy.) Wish us luck!
