If your local park or playground is your home away from home are you feeling a bit panicked as the days grow shorter and the temperatures get colder? We're determined to get outside every day in the upcoming months and are strategizing about how best to keep our son warm. Rain or Shine Kids (makers of the Woobee) has just come out with the cozy, water resistant 'b blanket' which looks like a good bet for chilly days.

The b blanket is comfy polar fleece on one side with water resistant material on the other. Handy ties lend it versatility - use it with your baby carrier, car seat or stroller. Choose from three designs - squares, rings or sunburst. The b blanket is $36 and available from Rain or Shine Kids.

This looks similar to the Bunnytail blanket we have and love. (http://www.bunnytailblankets.com/) It is fleece on one side and waterproof on the other, has a reflective stripe, and, best of all, has snaps, which allow it to be snapped around a baby in a sling or worn like a cape by older kids.

It's great for stroller rides and also for putting down on the damp ground. We lost ours briefly and I was ready to run out and buy another one immediately (luckily, someone left it up on a fence for us...good blanket karma).
