Blogging Parents Magazine: Cool Webcams

Vacation is over for a lot of us. But without even leaving the house, you can journey underwater to watch sharks get fed, or even journey to the African safari and catch a leopard in action. Parents Magazine points out a few cool Webcams:

• Key West Aquarium: They even tell you when they'll be feeding the fish so you can watch! Those times are: 11:25, 1:25, 3:25, and 4:55.

• Monterey Bay Aquarium:Choose between the kelp cam, otter cam, penguin cams, and others.

• Waikiki Aquarium: Visit Hawaii and a shark cam!

• Video Safari: Come up out of the water and watch elephants drinking in Africa.

In the special education class I taught in last year, we kept the Penguin Cam at the Monterrey Bay Aquarium up almost all day when we did our unit on penguins. We loved watching them feed them and clean the habitats. So much fun! You could really see the individual penguins' personalities!

Hey thanks for the shout-out! I very dorkily spent quite some time watching these webcams for this item in the mag so that I could get a great screen shot of a shark, etc. =)
