Edith and Edna

We're back from our end of summer trip up the Atlantic coast for a few days in Portland, Maine. In between lobster rolls, we found some time for shopping and thought we'd share this gem. Edith and Edna. We agree with their tagline -- "a curated shopping experience" in the heart of the Old Port District.

Every corner of this bi-level shop is chock full of great wares displayed to perfection.

Unfortunately, neither Brandie Mayes or Julie George-Carlson (co-owners) were at the store the day we visited, but we took a wonderful shopping tour nonetheless.

Edith and Edna carries decorative accessories and clothing, focusing on the best the craft world has to offer.

(Read their site to learn how they came up with the name). A photo tour follows after the jump...

We found many crafty treasures we'd only seen on Etsy. There are organic clothes by Speeses, baby accessories by SouleMama, and play food by Lillybean.

That's our little doll sitting with the gaggle of Bla Bla dolls. He walked away with some new food friends made by My Paper Crane.

Edith and Edna has a site and blog, but no online shop (at least not yet). So the next time you are in Portland, be sure to pop in on the ladies.
