Ana sent us an email: I am in the process of buying a stroller, so this Saturday my husband and I went to take a look in person at the Bugaboo. I was a bit unimpressed and while we were looking amongst the avalanche of strollers in the store we started looking closely at the Targo by Icoo...
The Targo is made in Germany and their pitch is German Engineering... I was pleasantly surprised with all the extra features - I liked the idea that both the basinett and the chair can be raised to a decent height so I did not have to bend too much (bad back mommy here). Plus the stroller has high mobility with all fours wheels movable and the basinett is not a huge one like the Cameleon from Bugaboo. Plus it is lighter and much easier it manuever. I am sold on it, and wondering if anyone else has experience with it.
It does have a lot of good features, and the reviews we've found (though it's relatively new) all seem positive. It is pricey though.
Anyone else going for the new German-engineered Targo? It's available here.
Not sure if you could say I have "experience" with it yet but we have the i'coo targo. The baby isn't going to be here for another 2 or 3 weeks so we haven't used it yet.
We purchased it for many of the reasons discussed above. It is lighter, maneuvers well, seat raises up and down, seat can face you or face the world. It also comes with the infant car seat attachment which we would have have to purchase separately if going with a bugaboo. I also like that it folds in one piece with the seat attached.
I was surprised to hear you thought the bassinet wasn't huge like the chameleon. We felt the bassinet was big and took measurements of a chameleon bassinet for comparison. We thought they were exactly the same?

milk tea - I did not measure the bassinet of Targo, but maybe bcs you see it from a different angle it looks bigger - also maybe bcs Targo had more cushioning in the store compared to the bugaboo - which to me felt like an ugly box. I totally trust your measurements. I liked the way this one feels toward the other brand - whith 4 wheels moving. And to me this felt lighter than the bugaboo, but when it comes in the published details Targo seems to be 2 lbs heavier - it did not feel that in the store. I am definetely buying it - the height adjustment was a sell for me.

We're very interested in this stroller as we have been on the fence between the Quinny Buzz and the Bugaboo Frog...this stroller seems to have everything and more. Does anyone know where you can find it in store to see it firsthand?? We're in Seattle but can get down to Portland and will be in LA possibly in the spring. Thanks!

I wonder if the handle is height-adjustable? That is one mark against the Micralite Toro we are considering. I am also in Seattle and need a recommendation on where to test drive some of these strollers - suggestions?

Lauren...I watched the little video on the Targo and it has an adjustable handle height. To be honest, it looks like a really great stroller, with more combined features of both the bugaboo/quinny, but it would be nice to see it in person. Not sure if you're talking about test driving other strollers, like the bugaboo or quinny too but Right Start near U Village has both and they're very good about the pros and cons of each.

I test drove this stroller in a store in NYC, so I am not sure about Seattle, but I would go to Icoo's web page and see if they have any directories. Yes the demonstration on utube is pretty good.
