Habitat For Kids

2009-05-04-habitat.jpg

Oh, how we loved shopping Habitat when in Europe. We weren't yet parents at the time so we never paid attention to the childrens' items, but feasting our eyes on all of the wonderful toys and furnishings in this photo from Stephmodo has us reaching for our passport.

We want that red fire engine, the race cars, that acrylic chair, those canvas lawn chairs, and the list goes on and on...Those of you who have shopped Habitat for kids, tell us what you purchased. You can check out their online offerings here.

Habitat has turned out to be our favorite place to buy our daughter toys. We make sure to visit anytime we're near one.

We've got:

A dollhouse I saw there a few months ago!

I bought my son's teepee here a couple of years ago. It's a been a major landmark in his room ever since. We can't have house-guests without him dragging them in the teepee.

Alex,

the UK Habitat does not offer web shopping, but the French site does. I would contact them to ask about shipping charges, etc. You can probably just order straight off their website (they carry the atlas bedding).

Here is the info about international shipping:

http://www.habitat.fr/fcp/content/ContactUs-Service_Clients/content

(note, to dial Europe from the US, you dial 011, and the country code is 33, so the telephone number is :

011 33 15 805 1087)

Otherwise, you can call a store in the UK and ask them directly whether you can purchase the item over the phone and have it shipped -- they usually provide such a service.

Alex, if Habitat are unable to ship to the US, I would be more than happy to pick up the bed linen set for you and send it on!

Thank you all for all your generous help. The French site appears to be out of stock once I tried adding it to my cart. I received one no from a UK store on the shipping, but maybe I will call a couple others. smbumblebee I will definitely take you up on your offer-please contact me if you can! Maybe there is something I can ship to you also? Thanks again for all the help, Alex
