Mutsy Strollers

2007.10.10.nursery.mutsy1.jpg

There is a new stroller showing up at the coffee shops and library story times in our neighborhood - the Mutsy. The big draw, as far as we can tell, is the click mechanism that lets this transportation system transform from pram to stroller to car seat, and that the handles are adjustable for taller parents.

The drawback is that the Mutsy is $699.99, and is a big stroller - this isn't the stroller for urban bus riders. But we do love the accessories, including the Babysitter Chassis, which allows you to turn your stroller into a bouncer seat.

Having moved to the Hudson Valley, we invested in this stroller, which has so far been fabulous, but I can't imagine having to lug it around the city (subways, buses, etc.). The frame is 12 pounds but the wheels are very heavy and add a lot of weight. It takes muscle getting it into the back of our Prius. We love it on the local streets and trails though. It's great on rough terrain.

Meemielala, a side question, my husband and I are looking at getting a Prius and I was wondering how easy it was getting a car seat in and out and especially getting a child in and out.

UPPABABY also makes a great stroller with the click feature and bassinet. It comes complete for $599.00. I just get mine a couple weeks ago and love it.
