Valentine's Day Fortune Cookies

2008-01-28-vday1.jpg

We've admired the crafting of Sally (Shim + Sons) for a long time now and thought it was time to share. Sally recently wrote about a creative Valentine's Day project - making felt fortune cookies - a project she found in Martha Stewart Living. Here is Sally's version...

She used charcoal grey wool felt instead of the more traditional red or pink.

Insert a custom fortune and stuff your cookie with some yummy treats (Sally used her favorite Japanese candy). This is a simple and quick craft project that's fun for the kids to pass out to friends at school.

Thanks, Sally!

Melissa:

The link to MSL instructions tell you to insert a wire. I think Sally glued a ribbon over the wire to make it pretty.

i saw these too i martha's magazine & loved them immediately. i tried making them martha's way which was pretty easy. but with just a few modifications, you can make them just using a glue gun & felt. for my instructions go here:
