Look!: Fabric Wall Treatment

2007_09_11_fabric_walls.jpg

Add texture to your walls. You may have had a lazy labor day, but Kayte (of Love Forever) was busy adorning her walls with fabric. What a great way to add color and texture to your walls and also display some of your favorite fabric. And no worries for renters - the fabric is easy to remove when you move.

You'll need very few materials for this project - fabric, a brayer, scissors and liquid starch. Do a small corner or a whole room. Or try it on a dresser or door.

See Katye's blog entry about the project here.

gorgeous. will try this at home. i've actually been looking for the perfect decals for my girls' room, but this strikes me as a much better, easier solution because i already have loads of fabric at my fingertips.

ONe of my most favorite room treatments is upholstered walls. Trouble is you generally need a lot of fabric to do this effectively and it gets very expensive. If anyone wants to try it, you should get your fabric where I do...it is a website called iluvfabric... http://www.iluvfabrix.com/products.php or at least check them out. They have some of the best fabric on the web at below wholesale prices. Hope this helps.

I am not really into this kind of walls, but I like those flowers a lot. I think I would paint something like that on my bedroom walls too.
