apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

New York, New York Wall Stickers

070109nycstickers.jpgIf you wanted to get away from the typical things you find in a child's room- birds, trees, etc....how about this oversized cityscape of NYC?

It's kind of a lot of black, but definitely could work if you added some brighter colors in the rest of the room.

I think it's a cool design and looks nice and would work well with bright accents, like you said.

However, as a city dweller (albeit Chicago, not New York), I'm more inclined to fill my daughter's room with things that she's not already surrounded by in real life -- so more animals, nature, etc. than cityscapes for me. When your "backyard" is concrete, ya gotta green up the home decor a bit. : )

I agree that this could definitely work... black and whites are the most striking things visually for a wee'un when they can't see so well in the beginning. I really like it.
