Wonderful Graffiti

AT:New York has profiled Wonderful Graffiti before, but we’re taking another look with an eye toward decorating nurseries and children’s rooms. Mary McPhail started the company when she wanted to decorate using text, but didn’t feel she had the crafty fortitude to pull it off with paint and stencils. Instead she created what she calls "graffiti" - thin pieces of vinyl which easily adhere to walls and can be hung by anyone. Check out how customers used them in their own nurseries (after the jump).

This parent used a favorite Dr. Seuss quote in vibrant green for a whimsical wall display.

We love the interplay between the text and wall molding here.

Spelling out your child's name personalizes the room or defines a child's space in a multi-purpose room.

Choose phrases, quotes or poems both long and meaningful...

...or short and sweet.

Besides walls, Wonderful Graffiti can be adhered to most smooth surfaces including furniture, mirrors and refrigerators. Design your own or choose one of their designs (like personalized growth charts in 26 colors). Either way, the website offers a wealth of visual and textual inspiration including a virtual design playroom with furniture to move around in order to better envision how the graffiti will look in your home.

Prices vary depending on size. For an idea, two sentences of text intended for a 24"x24" space is around $25.
