apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Window Screen Film

Not surprisingly, a lot of kid's rooms in apartments do not come with stunning views, which is why we were happy to find Window Screen Film. Designed by Sofia Löfstedt and Johanna Lindgren, this opaque film gives privacy while letting in the light, and provides the suggestion of a garden outside, rather than, say, the brick wall of the building next door.

Best of all, Window Screen Film attaches via static, making it easy to put up and remove in a rental place. $20.48 a roll.

I'm not sure what happened, but they sent me the wrong pattern. You'll have to deal with air bubbles in adhering this film to the surface. I eventually decided to forgo the film in favor of an organza shade.
